15 days into exploration!

15 days into kindergarten and let me tell you I have never been as professionally challenged in my career! Kindergarten has been a love/hate relationship with a fast learning curve. But my favorite part of my day is Math. We have been loving our exploration time! In exploration, we take our standard and turn it into daily hands on learning. My kiddos are making growth, I'm getting a daily look at how my kiddos are understanding numbers and they are ENGAGED!! I didn't think it was possible but they love it. I can easily differentiate it and move kiddos around with ease!

So How Do I Do It??

Well, first off I couldn't do it without the help of Simply Kinder. Her blog is simply packed full of amazing ideas! Another great sight is Playdough for Plato. She has wonderful printable mats. And finally my last website is Life Over C's. I search for ideas based on my standard and almost every time these sites have what I need for little to no cost!

This week:
We're working on counting objects and one-to-one correspondence. I have Clothespin Clip Cards for my medium (TpT store has the whole bundle, it's worth it!). I have dot cards and write the number for my high group. My low group has a guided folder with the picture and number written so we can practice together. I also utilize the computers on ABCYA.com!

Give it a try it's worth it!
Until Next Time!
